Ehsan Ebrahimi was born in 1980 in Mashhad (Iran). He has worked for Mohammad Haghgoo learned to play the santoor. This was followed by training in composing with Prof. Shahin Farhat and Farhad Fakhredini. His first own compositions were written after another two years. Since 2001 he has been working as a santoor teacher and composer, and until 2012 he has held courses and music forums at various music schools and the internationally recognised Ferdowski University organised in Mashhad. This developed a cooperation with the local radio and television centre.
He has been studying in Germany since December 2012. In May 2017, he earned a Bachelor's degree at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media (Hmtmh) in the main subject "Composition" with Prof. Oliver Schneller, Prof. José María Sanchez-Verdu, Gordon Williamson, Prof. Ming Tsao and Joachim Heintz.
In November 2019, he completed his education with a Master's degree at the Bremen University of Music and the Arts (HfK) with the focus on "electroacoustic composition" at Prof. Kilian Schwoon completed.
He has already composed for several renowned ensembles such as Ensemble Garage, Ensemble Craft, Ensemble Musikfabrik, Ensemble Mosaik, Ensemble Schwerpunkt, Schola Heidelberg, Ensemble Mixtura, Ensembe Aisthesis, Ensemble Schwerpunkt, Ensemble Megaphon, Asambura Ensemble and Saitensprung .
In Hanover he has built up the Ensemble Gohar (traditional Iranian music) with which he has already been able to perform in public.
