Willi Hanne studied percussion at the Hanover University of Music and Drama. He works as a musician and instrumental teacher at various institutions and universities.
Willi Hanne has received several awards and music prizes. He is active in various ensembles and as a soloist in popular and serious music, in cross-stylistic projects and theatre productions. He has participated in many radio, television and CD recordings, toured at home and abroad and played at international music festivals, working with Stacy Kent, Stephan Abel and Nahawa Dombia, among others.
He teaches at the Institute for Music and Musicology in Hildesheim.
